Members of the media invited to attend in Minneapolis from Sept. 12-14.

MINNEAPOLIS – July 31, 2019 – Registration is now open for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) 2019 Women’s Leadership Summit (WLS) in Minneapolis, Sept. 12-14.

During WLS, women architects, designers and other industry professionals—at all stages of their careers—convene to explore leadership in the architecture profession. The summit offers educational seminars, forums that facilitate conversations and unique perspectives from female leaders.

This year’s speakers include Design Matters podcast host Debbie Millman; Thrive Labs founder and motivational speaker Priya Parker; architect and Harvard professor Toshiko Mori, FAIA; and Mancini Duffy Chief Financial Officer Bolanle Williams-Olley, who has founded three impact organizations.

Additionally, sessions will address industry relevant topics and provide practical tools for attendees to implement in the workplace. Seminars will also promote health and professional development by combining continuing education with wellness activities.

AIA hosts WLS biennially with sponsorship support. This year’s platinum sponsors include ConstructConnect, Deltek+Avitru, HDR, JACOBS, Ryan Companies US, Inc. and Wold Architects & Engineers.

Complete conference details and registration information are available on AIA’s website. Attendees can register online for the full conference or the pre-conference only on Sept. 12. The deadline to register is Aug. 30. Members of the media that are interested in attending should email media@aia.org to register.
