Designed by OZ Architecture of Denver, the office building blends Scandinavian style and sustainable, net-zero-ready functionality. Tubelite Inc.’s curtainwall and window wall systems contribute to the building’s crisp, modern, minimalist, high-performance design. Thermally broken aluminum framing, low-e insulated glass and Tubelite’s PTB120 Thermal Pressure Plate supplied by Deceuninck further support the building envelope’s sustainability and energy-efficiency goals.

AGC Inc.‘s Fluon® ETFE fluoropolymer film installed on SoFi Stadium roof

AGC Inc. has announced that its Fluon® ETFE fluoropolymer film has been installed on the roof of SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Gensler looked at developing an adaptive façade to replace the outdated precast, single-glazed strip-window façade. “While that exterior was built for a single use, the rhythm of the new façade allows for a variety of programmatic uses,” said Gensler Principal Robert Fuller, AIA. “The recessed channels at the vertical columns and horizontal spandrels express the structural module of the building, while the floor-to-ceiling glass creates a lighter façade that connects the interior spaces to views of the city beyond.”

PPG DURANAR coatings add distinctive effects to façade of Calgary Central Library

Designed by Snøhetta of Oslo, Norway, and DIALOG of Calgary, the library features a dynamic triple-glazed façade that incorporates more than 460 alternating polygonal panels of fritted glass and iridescent aluminum. The architects selected PPG Duranar coatings for the window frames and other extruded aluminum components to evoke snowflakes or ice cracking on a lake.
