MYCON General Contractors, Inc. (MYCON) announced that it has started construction on the SPR Office Building in Rockwall, Texas. The SPR office is a 24,000 SF, two-story expansion of the existing manufacturing warehouse, including a formal lobby, offices and suites, architectural finished concrete features, and preparation for the future locker room and bathroom.

LyondellBasell to slow construction on PO/TBA project

LyondellBasell has informed the engineering and construction contractors it will slow construction of its world-scale propylene oxide (PO) and tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA) plant. “The COVID-19 pandemic is unprecedented and evolving. Because the PO/TBA site is currently under construction and not producing needed products yet, in the interest of health and safety we believe it is prudent to limit construction activities at this time,” said Torkel Rhenman, executive vice president, Intermediates & Derivatives (I&D). “We remain committed to the completion of this strategic investment incorporating our low-cost, next generation PO/TBA technology. Over the next several weeks, we will be working with our contractors and suppliers to develop a revised project timeline.”

Dresdner Robin Completes Engineering Work on $25M Baldor Specialty Foods Headquarters Expansion

Dresdner Robin is proud to announce the completion of its engineering and general design work on a $25 million, 110,000-square-foot expansion of the Baldor Specialty Foods headquarters, storage and distribution facility in Hunts Point, N.Y. The design increased floor space to 270,000 square feet, creating 300 new jobs. Dresdner Robin partnered with the architectural firm, Cybul Cybul Wilhelm (CCW), on the design of the expansion.

Construction Begins on Molson Coors Most Modern Facility in Canada

Molson Coors announced October 19 that it officially broke ground, kicking off the construction for what will be the company’s most modern brewing facility and distribution centre to date. Pomerleau-Alberici, a partnership between Pomerleau and Alberici Constructors, has been selected to lead the design and construction of the project. Molson Coors Canada will be seeking LEED certification.
