2019-2020 AAMA events’ sites and dates set

The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) announced future 2019 and 2020 conference dates and locations, currently available on the AAMA Events web page. Early bird registration is now open for February’s AAMA 2019 Annual Conference in Indian Wells (Palm Springs), California, but AAMA events’ sites and dates for the rest of 2019 and into 2020 are now also available.

AAMA to host 5K run/walk in honor of Kim Flanary

In honor of Milgard Windows & Doors’ engineering director and AAMA Board Member, Kim Flanary, the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) is hosting a 5K run/walk during the AAMA Annual Conference. The event will take place at 5:30 a.m., Wed., Feb. 27, honoring a lifetime of leadership. Flanary, who passed away earlier this fall, was active with AAMA for 14 years. During that time, Flanary served on 74 committees including nine of AAMA’s 11 top-level governing Board committees.

Functionality of the glass configuration was a key consideration, said Adrienne Tam, associate, Moriyama & Teshima. “We were on a quest for a bird-friendly glass treatment that would allow the low-e coating to be applied to Surface #2.” The acid-etched pattern “was integral to the glass, and unlike other products, not a separate material bound to the glass that is then exposed to the environment,” she added.
