AAMA and World Vision fill 500 backpacks with supplies for in-need children

During the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) 2018 National Fall Conference, volunteers filled backpacks with school supplies to benefit children at a local Title I elementary school in Tucson, Arizona. A total of 500 backpacks were filled and distributed during the event. This build was coordinated in partnership with World Vision, a humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities to help them reach their full potential. Employees are Happier, Healthier and More Productive in LEED Green Buildings

According to a new survey released today from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), employees who work in LEED-certified green buildings are happier, healthier and more productive than employees in conventional and non-LEED buildings. The survey also shows that a majority of office workers want to work for companies that are value-oriented, take stances on important issues like sustainability, and do their part for making a positive difference in the world. In fact, 84 percent of respondents prefer to work for a company that has a strong, concrete mission and positive values.
