BAM South in Brooklyn, New York

Designed by Enrique Norten of TEN Arquitectos, the 32-story structure features REYNOBOND aluminum composite material (ACM) panels by ALCOA Architectural Products fabricated into pans and finished with DURANAR XL fluoropolymer coatings by PPG. Opened in 2017, the mixed-use building is home to 300 apartments and condominiums, retail stores and 50,000 square-feet of cultural space hosting tenants such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music Cinemas, Brooklyn Public Library, MoCADA and 651 Arts.

Las Vegas Vortex Canopy Creates Striking Structure on the Strip

The canopy was formed from 60,000 square-feet of Engineered Wall System Inc.’s 400 series rainscreen system using ALPOLIC Material’s fire-retardant (FR) core aluminum composite material (ACM). These metal panels feature Sherwin-Williams Coil Coating‘s Valflon® coating in Platinum Mica, Champagne Mica and Silver Metallic. Valflon was the ideal choice for this specific project, as it required a bold look with lots of gloss and shine. Even better, this coating is highly resistant to weathering, airborne chemicals, acid rain and graffiti-removing cleaning solvents.

Architects specify rainscreen systems to fulfill two primary functions: the first is to keep moisture from entering a building; the second is to prevent heat from escaping. Linetec’s painted mica finishes contribute to the the metallic aesthetic, high performance and lasting durability of Protean Construction Products’ aluminum plate system as installed by Flynn Midwest on Minnesota’s Cedar Grove Transit Center. The new station significantly expands the original facility with two buildings connected by a signature skyway bridge over TH77/Cedar Avenue. The building’s design complements other stations on the Red Line.

Orlando International Airport’s South Intermodal Terminal Facility topped with Acurlite skylight, finished by Linetec

The ITF is expected to be the first building on the Orlando International Airport campus to meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® v4 certification standards. Featuring an 8,000-square-foot, heavy-duty commercial skylight, the ITF’s daylighting system helps connect those arriving and working within the space to the welcoming surroundings and Florida sunshine outside. Acurlite Structural Skylights, Inc. manufactured and installed the low-rise, segmented barrel vault skylight. Linetec provided stretch forming, thermally improvement and finishing of the skylight to meet the airport’s aesthetic, sustainability and high-performance requirements.

The greater Los Angeles area’s transit needs cater to more than three million people annually, and the city of Anaheim knew it needed to set a model of excellence for public transportation. After extensive planning, designs were set for the new Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), with goals to not only address the community’s needs, but also become the first-ever Platinum LEED transportation hub. Race Pace Bicycles Treads Forward with Challenging Renovation

Ammon Heisler Sachs Architects was hired to conduct a full-scale remodel of the interior and exterior of the warehouse. Plans were also developed to add 4,800 square-feet to house the company’s sales floor and storeroom. A major face-lift was needed to the structure’s façade to attract customers and convey the Race Pace Bicycle brand. To accomplish this, Fabral 12″ and 16″ Silhouette HCF Series™ metal wall panels finished in Valspar Fluropon® coating in Slate Gray and a custom red were installed in a continuous horizontal pattern on the exterior.
