New Bentley University Arena Named the Most Environmentally Sustainable in the Nation

The new, state-of-the-art multipurpose Bentley Arena is the most environmentally sustainable in the U.S. and the first standalone ice arena to earn the LEED platinum certification, the highest possible rating, according to the U.S. Green Building Council. The award for the recently opened, 76,000-square-foot arena highlights the building’s sustainable design and energy efficiency and Bentley University’s continued rise as an innovative, nationally-recognized business university.

DSM Opens New Seven-Acre Solar Field in Kingstree, South Carolina

Royal DSM opened a new 7.61-acre solar field in Kingstree, South Carolina. The field uses DSM Anti-Reflective coating technology to increase solar output and will help power the neighboring DSM Nutritional Products facility. The 4,256 solar panels at the Kingstree field use DSM’s Anti-Reflective coating, the company’s flagship product for the solar market, which maximizes energy capture up to three percent. The coating is applied to the cover the glass of the solar modules and strongly reduces the reflection of sunlight.

Student design talent recognized by Sherwin-Williams annual contest

“It’s always exciting to see the creativity and innovation of the next generation of interior designers, and this year’s Student Design Challenge was no exception,” said Wadden. “The winners pushed design boundaries to think beyond aesthetics and consider how the space will be used and the role that color plays.” Students across North America were challenged to create a color rendering of a residential or commercial interior space using a minimum of three Sherwin-Williams colors.
