Dunham’s portfolio spans 15 years, and includes work across many verticals such as transportation, aviation, healthcare, higher and secondary education, and the arts.

Alexander Dunham will enhance the studio’s celebrated culture of creating inspiring workplaces in the New York office, bringing with him a unique background of strategy and design “Our powerful Strategy and Discovery team is committed to innovating the future of the workplace,  compiling expertise from new business and spatial planning to client relations and project delivery,” said Peter Bacevice, HLW’s Director of Research. “Leveraging formal training in design as well as his educational background in business, Alex will serve as a key, on-site member of the team in New York, and we are looking forward to seeing him grow into this new role.”

As Director of Workplace, Dunham will focus on overseeing the firm’s workplace strategy efforts, as well as leading the change management process for a range of clients. He will also be responsible for enhancing technical procedures and overseeing projects in the tri-state area. Dunham’s previous experiences in project management will help add further  expertise and structure to Strategy and Discovery’s scoping discussions and project administration.

“I’m excited to join HLW in this critical role,” says Dunham. “I was drawn to HLW’s commitment to innovation and, as Director of Workplace, I’m motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the future of design strategy.”

Dunham’s appointment comes at a time when HLW is growing — the firm recently moved offices. After over three decades on 5th Avenue, HLW has relocated their headquarters to a new space that reflects their brand and culture, while creating an environment that continues to support new ideas and objectives. The move came alongside a series of new hires, including Julia Belkin in New York, and Francesca Gernone in London, both as Principal, as well as a handful of award wins for the firm’s New Jersey office –– NJBiz’s Firm of the Year and CFO of the Year.
