MYCON General Contractors, Inc. (MYCON) recently started constructing Brazos Transit District’s new corporate headquarters located at 2117 Nuches Lane, Bryan, Texas 77803. The Coordination Complex is funded by; Federal Transit Administration (26%), Brazos Transit District (24%), and Texas Department of Transportation (50%).

“The Tate” new Coordination Complex is named after and dedicated to the former City of Bryan Mayor, Marvin Tate. A survivor of the legendary Texas A&M Junction Boys, coached by Coach Paul “Bear Bryant” in the mid-1950s, Tate served the City of Bryan as Mayor from 1985 to 1995.

The 11,518 SF building features offices, meeting spaces, a board room, and lobby space highlighting the District’s rich local history. Integrated technology, the latest in built-in accessibility features, and a distinguished, adaptable board room ready for the technology of the future are a few highlights.

The architects on the project are Williamson Group Architects and PlanNorth Architectural Company. Brazos Transit District is the owner. The scheduled completion is December 2020.
