Lakehouse is a new, 12-story, 196-unit mixed-use condominium and rowhome community overlooking Sloan’s Lake Park in Denver, CO. It is the first residential project in the state to earn WELL Precertification under the WELL Building Standard™. WELL is a performance-based program that integrates human health and wellness best practices into the design, construction, maintenance, and operations of the built environment in order to optimize the resident experience.
The 540,000-square-foot, mixed-use development was designed by Stantec—a global architecture, engineering, and design firm with multiple Denver offices—in conjunction with Muñoz + Albin for NAVA Real Estate Development, a Colorado-based development and investment company. Lakehouse was awarded WELL Precertification at the Gold Level by the International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI™) for its commitment to measurably demonstrating its works towards promoting residents’ health across the WELL program’s seven key performance areas: air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and mind.
“We envisioned Lakehouse as a showcase of well-being, thoughtful design and sustainability. It’s exciting to see it pre-certified for WELL at the Gold level,” said John Yonushewski, Stantec senior principal based in Denver. “As a building designed to promote human health and wellness, it sets a new standard for what Denver living can be. Working with NAVA, we have brought Lakehouse residents a vibrant, healthy, and inspiring new home option.”
Located just steps from Sloan’s Lake and part of the St. Anthony’s Hospital redevelopment at 4200 W. 17th Avenue, Lakehouse offers the rare opportunity to own a waterfront home less than three miles from Downtown Denver. “Applying the WELL Building Standard to Lakehouse was instrumental in guiding our development decisions throughout construction and design,” said Brian Levitt, president and co-founder of NAVA Real Estate Development. “Together, we not only captured our collective passion for exceptional architecture and sustainable design, but we created an innovative model for multifamily communities that sets a new standard for healthy living.”
