Presented by Rich Rinka, FGIA Technical Manager, Fenestration Standards and U.S. Industry Affairs, this webinar is complimentary and open to the public. “Curtain walls, based on skeleton frame construction and imaginative designs, provide large glazed areas that can dominate a façade,” said Rinka. “When these are not properly designed or specified, there can be consequences in the construction that are unwanted.”

FGIA releases update to 2019/2020 Market Studies, offers adjusted forecast of fenestration industry trends

The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) has released updated industry market data in the FGIA Industry Update of the U.S. Market for Residential and Non-residential Windows, Doors and Skylights. This report serves as an updated overview of the reports released by the association in May. This is the first update to AAMA 2501-20, “Voluntary Guide for Engineering Analysis of Anchorage Systems for Fenestration Products” Included in NAFS, since it was originally written in 2006.

Announcing the 2021 FGIA Virtual Annual Conference

The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) will hold its 2021 Annual Conference virtually due to the continued health concerns around the spread of COVID-19. This event, previously scheduled to be held at Omni Plantation in Amelia Island, Florida, will be hosted on Zoom for the convenience of participants. The event dates remain largely unchanged with the conference taking place Tuesday, February 23 through Thursday, February 25.
