Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative recently opened its new headquarters in Williston, North Dakota, featuring an expansive curtainwall from Tubelite. The four-story, 85,000-square-foot building was designed by JLG Architects to achieve a LEED® Gold certification with an emphasis on highlighting the efficient use of electricity, while creating a beacon for MWEC on the north side of Williston.

Tammy Schroeder has been promoted to marketing manager at Linetec, the nation’s largest independent architectural metals finishing company. “Tammy has greatly expanded Linetec’s presence in our industry,” praised Jon Close, Linetec’s vice president of sales and marketing. “In her new role, Tammy will continue to oversee all aspects of Linetec’s marketing.” Schroeder earned and maintains her LEED® Green Associate credentials through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

Biophilic design of Philadelphia’s Asplundh Cancer Pavilion features Linetec’s wood grain finish

The recently opened Asplundh Cancer Pavilion’s 86,000-square-foot outpatient center in the suburbs of Philadelphia combines state-of-the-art cancer-fighting science with a serene healing environment. Its biophilic design by EwingCole includes an exterior architectural aluminum system finished by Linetec to resemble the look and texture of natural wood.

Located in the colorful Mission District of San Francisco, Vida brings to life a long-vacant space as an upscale, mixed-use residential and retail, urban infill project. Designed by DLR Group|Kwan Henmi, the façade reflects the color and texture of the neighborhood’s Latin-influenced murals, craft and culture, and is scaled with respect to the adjacent buildings’ varied heights and setbacks.

“Collaboration at all levels is the driving force behind the design,” described VLK Architects Project Designer Richard Hunt, AIA, LEED® AP. “Expressive and monumental, the architecture is unique to the neighborhood and city as a whole. The expansive curtainwall, featuring diagonal sun shade fins, serves as a subconscious billboard to passersby – visitors and students understand they are entering an institution of higher learning and not just another run-of-the-mill high school building.”

New York’s The Forge showcases distinctive, copper anodized, aluminum wall panel system

Opened this spring, The Forge, a 272-unit luxury residential tower in Long Island, New York, features a façade of copper-colored anodized aluminum cladding. Designed by FXCollaborative, its distinctive, artistically inspired, industrial-influenced, exterior is composed of Dri-Design’s aluminum wall panel system finished by Linetec. The project is pursuing LEED® Silver certification.

Linetec’s painted mica finishes contribute to the the metallic aesthetic, high performance and lasting durability of Protean Construction Products’ aluminum plate system as installed by Flynn Midwest on Minnesota’s Cedar Grove Transit Center. The new station significantly expands the original facility with two buildings connected by a signature skyway bridge over TH77/Cedar Avenue. The building’s design complements other stations on the Red Line.

Orlando International Airport’s South Intermodal Terminal Facility topped with Acurlite skylight, finished by Linetec

The ITF is expected to be the first building on the Orlando International Airport campus to meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® v4 certification standards. Featuring an 8,000-square-foot, heavy-duty commercial skylight, the ITF’s daylighting system helps connect those arriving and working within the space to the welcoming surroundings and Florida sunshine outside. Acurlite Structural Skylights, Inc. manufactured and installed the low-rise, segmented barrel vault skylight. Linetec provided stretch forming, thermally improvement and finishing of the skylight to meet the airport’s aesthetic, sustainability and high-performance requirements.

Three new associates have joined Linetec to support the company’s continued growth and its customers’ ongoing need for high-quality, high-performance, finished, architectural aluminum products. Brandon Slowiak started his role as a continuous improvement manager, Cody Horne as a manufacturing engineer and Tad Klabacha as a senior technical engineer.
