PowerPlay Destination Properties (Hawaii), Inc. has announced Luana Garden Villas, a rare collection of 72 garden villas styled in the design of tropical modernism and nestled within Honua Kai Resort & Spa, one of Maui’s top-rated resort destinations on famed Ka’anapali Beach. Featuring three-bedroom residences styled in a modern design with island-influenced palettes, Luana is the final phase of development at the resort and will offer the opportunity to live among intimate, lush garden enclaves while enjoying all of the amenities and activities offered by the resort.
Luana is a collection of 72 three-bedroom villas spread across 18 four-plex buildings arranged in three intimate garden-inspired enclaves. Villas boast over 2,000 square feet of interior living space thoughtfully designed for island living and available in two distinct color schemes – Vibrant and Serene.

With residences available in two distinct color schemes, Vibrant and Serene, the interiors at Luana reflect the exterior natural landscape through a contemporary lens.
The Vibrant scheme showcases bold accents of orange and red, inspired by the Hawaiian story of the demi-god Maui who, in a powerful feat, captured the Sun to lengthen the daylight hours.
The Serene scheme is inspired by the rare Hinahina (Silversword) plant that grows on the slopes of Haleakalā. This plant is believed to evoke serenity and peace and its soft greyish-white color informed the color palette for the Serene scheme.
Characteristic of tropical modernism, Luana features wide, open spaces throughout each room and the expansive lanai at each villa.
Each of Luana’s three enclaves showcases a lush, harmonious garden environment featuring local flora curated into three distinct themes: Hawaiian Garden, Floral Garden, and Coastal Garden. At the heart of each enclave sits a pool and spa outfitted with chaise lounges for relaxing, as well as a fire pit for evening gatherings, all surrounded by rich landscaping and cascading lava rock waterfalls.
Luana Garden Villas is the final phase of development at Honua Kai Resort & Spa. The resort, opened in 2009, sits on 38 acres of West Maui shoreline along the Ka’anapali Beach. Luana’s location on Ka’anapali Beach offers endless possibilities to explore and appreciate the beauty and excitement of Maui. Luana Garden Villas broke ground in February 2018 and the first phase is slated for completion in summer 2019.
