Walker, Michigan (Aug. 2018) – Tubelite Inc. adds Judy Bland as vice president of operations in Walker, Michigan. She will report directly to Steve Green, general manager, and her primary focus will be on safety, customer satisfaction, fiscal goal attainment and continual progression of Tubelite’s Lean journey.

Bland most recently served as the vice president of operations at Cascade Engineering in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In that position, she conducted various initiatives that included improved productivity resulting in a 50 percent increased capacity, generated significant annual savings by consolidating eight warehouses, implemented Lean/Six Sigma certification processes, and facilitated several high-performance team-building events.

Prior to her five years at Cascade Engineering, Bland held the position of vice president of operations at Leatherman Tool Group, a high-end multi-purpose tool manufacturer; Crane Corporation, a recreational vehicle, truck and construction product manufacturer; and Dover Corporation, a worldwide manufacturer of industrial compressors and fluid handling systems. Bland’s employment before that included executive vice president of the Micropump division and vice president of operations of the Viking Pump division at IDEX Corporation; and director of operations and operational excellence director at Parker Hannifin.

Bland earned both her bachelor’s degree and M.B.A from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. She continued her professional development becoming a Certified Total Quality Management (TQM) Facilitator, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
