Walker, Michigan — Tubelite Inc. has promoted Dan Smith to client development manager for Northeast Texas. He is based in Dallas and reports directly to Tubelite regional sales manager Terry Robinholt. They work closely with glazing contractors and architectural teams across the region to provide assistance with storefront, curtainwall, entrances and daylight control systems.
Smith joined Tubelite in January 2014 as a senior estimator before being promoted to client development manager in August 2017.
He began his career at Vistawall (now OldCastle BuildingEnvelope) in 1996 as a standard products estimator before being promoted to national accounts estimator/project manager. In that position he oversaw accounts including Target Corporation, Talbots, Taco Bell and AutoZone.
He was hired by Columbia Building Products in 2003 to improve and expand on their storefront estimating and was promoted to outside sales in 2006. He sold storefront and operable windows in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana.
