IRVINE, Calif. – International award-winning firm KTGY Architecture + Planning is pleased to announce the addition of Wil Wong, AIA, to its board of directors. Wong is a principal based in the firm’s Irvine, California office.

Wong joined KTGY in 2000 and is responsible for overseeing the design development, production and construction phase of the high-density residential and mixed-use studio of KTGY’s Irvine office. With nearly three decades of experience in the field of architecture, Wong is highly experienced in a variety of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. He has also worked with the International Code Council, the Office of the State Fire Marshal and the California Department of Housing and Community Development to clarify building code requirements and code language for the benefit of clients and the building industry. Wong currently oversees the corporate quality standards program for all KTGY offices. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from University of California, Irvine, and is a licensed Architect in the states of California, Arizona and Colorado.
Wong manages a multi-disciplinary staff of more than 40 architects, drafters and designers. Wong currently leads the design development, construction document and construction phase services on over 10,000 dwelling units. Current work in the construction phase includes the Hudson and Tribeca condominium projects for Lennar Communities at Central Park West in Irvine and the Phase IV student housing and parking structure project near the campus of University of California, Irvine. Design development projects include new construction, for-sale residential condominiums in Los Angeles and the “Hope On” transitional housing projects with social service offices designed using shipping containers, with plans for multiple locations in Los Angeles.
