Adaptive Modular Solutions, California’s first manufacturer of container-based multi-unit housing and school buildings, has unveiled a new brand identity and name. Effectively immediately, the company is known as CRATE Modular, Inc. Randall W. Poston has been elected to serve as president of the American Concrete Institute for 2019-2020, Cary S. Kopczynski has been elected ACI vice president for a two-year term, and Jeffrey W. Gerhard Schickhofer awarded the 2019 Marcus Wallenberg Prize for his research and knowledge transfer of cross-laminated timber (CLT)

Professor Gerhard Schickhofer of the Institute of Timber Engineering and Wood Technology at Graz University of Technology, Austria, has laid the scientific and technological foundation for the development of cross-laminated timber (CLT) and is awarded the 2019 Marcus Wallenberg Prize.
