Mountain Top, PA (September 2018) – CornellCookson returns to CONSTRUCT 2018 with a full roster of products that provide innovative, code-driven solutions to the architecture, design, engineering and construction community. Hosted at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, CA, October 3-5, the conference and expo provides AEC professionals with real-world, practical knowledge for improved building success.

CornellCookson will also take part in two exciting events throughout the show, including the first ever CONSTRUCT Expo Hall Booth Crawl game and the closing party aboard the historic Queen Mary.

StormDefender™ – Designed specifically for safe room protection against tornados and hurricanes, StormDefender is tested and certified to ICC500-2014, FEMA P-361, Miami Dade and TDI standards. This specialty door also meets UL10B and UL1784 standards when equipped with a fire-rated smoke gasket – adding to its life safety credentials. Its sleek design also allows for installation right into the precast concrete, embedding it into the infrastructure of the building, all while providing protection against high speed projectiles and wind pressure of up to 300 psf (pounds per square foot).
Extreme® 300 Series MicroCoil® Grille – One of the company’s newest products, MicroCoil allows architects, designers and facility managers to maximize clear openings by significantly reducing coil size. Instead of a 24” headroom requirement, MicroCoil reduces this number to just 13”, making it an important product for meeting ADA Standards for renovated parking facilities and other structures. UL 325-2010 (NEMA 4X) compliant photo eye sensors allow for momentary contact operation – useful in parking garages and other high use openings.
SmokeShield® Elevator – The most design-adaptable hoistway smoke enclosure in the industry, this smoke curtain is compact, lightweight and full of design innovations. It offers a broad range of surface or under-fascia mounting possibilities and includes custom component finishing to match, enhance or provide contrast with surrounding features. This must-see new product also includes a standard 24-hour battery backup and highly intuitive user graphics. SmokeShield Elevator complies with IBC 2003 – 2018, the ICC-ES Report AC-77 and ICC-ESR 3322. In addition, it is listed for UL1784, UL325 and ASTME 864.
Special Events: Booth Crawl and Night Out on the Queen Mary
The CornellCookson booth is an official stop on the show’s new Expo Hall Booth Crawl game. Attendees are invited to download the CONSTRUCT app and visit participating booths and show locations to enter into drawings for giveaways (see website for more detailed instructions).
