Houston’s Architects-Plus and Three Square Design Group, described as “two fast-growing Houston architecture firms,” said they will merge to form Method Architecture later this year.

The combined firm will participate in the design of, and move into, a renovated mixed-use project called East Village, in the east-downtown area of Houston, the Houston Business Journal reports.

The firm will be led by partners Keith Holley and Eric Hudson, principals and co-owners of Architects-Plus; Jake Donaldson, founder and principal of Three Square; and Vanessa Ortega, director of projects at Three Square, the Business Journal said.

Architects-Plus specializes in interiors, retail, health care, and industrial projects, while Three Square focuses on tenant-finish and ground-up projects in the retail, health care, industrial, and craft-brewing markets, the report said.

East Village, being developed by real-estate company Ancorian, is a 60,000-square-foot project that incorporates existing buildings and includes outdoor areas, an office building, restaurants, and other elements.
