FGIA transitions Summer Conference to virtual event

The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) will hold its Summer Conference virtually due to the spread of COVID-19 and requests by government leadership to shelter-in-place. This event, previously intended to be held in Chicago, IL, will be hosted on Zoom for the convenience of participants. The event dates remain largely unchanged with the conference taking place Tuesday, June 23 through Thursday, June 25. Registration for the virtual Summer Conference will open the week of May 4.

FGIA announces new Board of Directors, strategic plan at inaugural conference

The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) Annual Conference held last week in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida featured an introduction to the 2020 Board of Directors. Since FGIA is the result of having combined the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA) as of the first of this year, the FGIA Board of Directors includes representatives who actively served in leadership roles within either of the separate associations.

The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and the Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA) have officially combined into one organization with the new name, Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA). After a July 2019 vote by both bodies to unify, the two organizations have come together as of Jan. 1, 2020.
