Bedrock unveils plans for $2.1 billion Detroit development projects

Bedrock September 20, 2017, unveiled a package of four transformational developments totaling $2.1 billion in new investment that will reshape Detroit’s skyline and create both construction and permanent jobs totaling up to 24,000. The package of transformational projects, which includes the Hudson’s Site, Monroe Blocks, Book Tower and One Campus Martius expansion project, will now go before the Detroit Brownfield Redevelopment Authority as the first step towards the approval of new state financing under the MIthrive program enacted into law earlier this year.

Sammamish High School’s new campus replaces an existing one-story facility with a three-story, state-of-the-art educational facility spanning 320,000 square feet and serving nearly 1,000 students in grades 9-12. Designed by Integrus Architecture, Sammamish is the last of Washington state’s Bellevue School District’s high schools to be modernized. According to Jack McLeod, director of facilities and operations for the school district, “Sammamish will be the crown jewel.”
