Sto Americas announces Randall Steven Johnson as CFO; Torben Wetche retires

Sto Corp., has announced that Randall Steven Johnson will join Sto Americas in the role of CFO effective August 5, replacing Torben Wetche, who announced his planned retirement earlier this year. Johnson will oversee all the company’s financial functions, including accounting, audit, treasury, as well as information technology, and will report to Jose Berlingeri, President and CEO, Sto Americas.

Sto Corp. yesterday announced the introduction of its new StoColor® Dryonic® exterior coating to the North American market, providing long-term moisture protection for virtually any substrate. StoColor Dryonic, like Sto’s other iQ Technology coatings, is modeled on principles found in nature. The shell of the African fog-basking beetle, covered in countless microscopic bumps, was the inspiration for the operating principle of this biomimetic coating. StoColor Dryonic features a unique micro-textured surface like that of the beetle’s shell. Rain and condensation cannot collect on this surface, preventing absorption of moisture by the facade.
