GreenCircle Certified, LLC’s (GreenCircle) Certified Environmental Facts (CEF) multi-attribute label for flooring products has been recognized by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP) Program as a recommended ecolabel for sustainable federal purchasing. The EPA EPP Program provides recommendations of specifications, standards, and ecolabels to help federal purchasers identify and specify environmentally sustainable products and services.

UL and USGBC Announce Strategic Collaboration to Help Architects and Designers Find Products that Contribute to LEED v4 Requirements

“UL strives to solve the challenges that architects, designers and purchasers face finding products that help contribute to LEED v4 credits,” said Alberto Uggetti, vice president and general manager, UL Environment. “UL’s SPOT platform is the largest credible green database in the market and enables users to search more than 50,000 products by the LEED credit they contribute to. U.S. Green Building Council Releases Annual Top 10 States for LEED Green Building Per Capita

Today, the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) released the annual list of the Top 10 States for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), the world’s most widely used green building rating system. The list ranks states in terms of certified square feet per resident in 2017. The list draws attention to states throughout America that are making significant strides in sustainable design, construction and transformation at the building level and opens up conversations around community and city-level accomplishments in sustainable development. LEED-certified spaces use less energy and water, save money for families, businesses and taxpayers, reduce carbon emissions and create a healthier environment for occupants and the community at large.
