January 19 FGIA webinar to cover performance rating for fenestration systems, comparative analysis procedure

The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) will host a webinar entitled “Performance Rating Method for Fenestration Systems and Comparative Analysis Procedure” on Tuesday, January 19 at 11:30 a.m. Eastern. This webinar will cover the enhanced analytical aspects of AAMA 2502, a recently updated FGIA document, and the procedures for evaluating air leakage and water penetration resistance. Participants will also learn about the design pressure performance of mulled fenestration assemblies contained in AAMA 450 – another FGIA document that was also recently updated.

Linetec hires Jason Morrey as safety manager

Jason Morrey joins Linetec as a safety manager. Reporting to Mike Schauls, vice president of operations, he will be responsible for developing and leading the company’s safety programs, injury prevention and compliance initiatives. “Linetec’s culture and core values put safety as our first priority,” said Mike Schauls, Linetec’s vice president of operations. “Each department and every person plays a role in supporting the safety of our associates.”

FGIA releases update to 2019/2020 Market Studies, offers adjusted forecast of fenestration industry trends

The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) has released updated industry market data in the FGIA Industry Update of the U.S. Market for Residential and Non-residential Windows, Doors and Skylights. This report serves as an updated overview of the reports released by the association in May. New forecasts included in this update are based on projections of construction activity as of mid-September 2020, including a consensus of current economic and construction forecasts along with input from industry participants on year-to-date shipments.
