The Urban Land Institute Receives Gift from Hines to Increase the Number and Visibility of Women in Real Estate Leadership Roles

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) and ULI’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) have received a $90,000 gift from Hines, the globally renowned real estate organization, to support the creation of the WLI Hines Innovation Grants, with the goal of helping raise the visibility and number of women in leadership roles in the real estate industry and within ULI’s membership. ULI is a global, multidisciplinary institute whose 40,000-plus members are dedicated to leadership in land use and building thriving, sustainable communities.

U.S. Census Bureau Awards Contract to Dodge Data & Analytics

Dodge Data & Analytics has been awarded a multi-year contract to continue providing data for U.S. Construction Projects Started to the U.S. Department of Commerce Census Bureau. The Dodge projects are a key input to the Nonresidential Construction Spending forecast that tracks the monthly value of Construction Put in Place.

Jorge Silvetti awarded 2018 AIA/ACSA Topaz Medallion

The AIA/ACSA Topaz Medallion honors an individual who has been intensely involved in architecture education for more than a decade and whose teaching has influenced a broad range of students. Silvetti has taught at Harvard University Graduate School of Design  (GSD) since 1975 as a gifted professor and mentor.  Argentinian by birth, Silvetti’s influence at GSD may have been most strongly felt from 1995-2002, when he served as chair of the architecture program.

Lenore M. Lucey honored with 2018 Kemper Award

The Board of Directors and the Strategic Council of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) bestowed Lenore M. Lucey, FAIA, with the 2018 Edward C. Kemper Award. Named in honor of the AIA’s first executive director, the award is given annually to an architect who has contributed significantly to the profession through service to the AIA.
