On trial for a moisture-related flooring failure — a simulated courtroom experience

After an introduction to the nature of moisture-related flooring problems, attendees will watch and listen to what goes on when a moisture-related floor covering problem ends up in court. Attendees will observe a theatrical courtroom experience where the factors leading up to a flooring failure will be presented and argued. Issues such as the sources of moisture, moisture movement and the adverse effects of moisture on flooring installations will all be presented to help the jury decide who is responsible for the problem.

Maison Z – A successful symbiosis between old and new

‘Maison Z’ (‘house Z’), situated in the Gard department in the south of France, encompasses a site measuring 29,600 square feet and is home to several independent farmhouses in a style that is typical of the Cévennes region.
