BEHR’s 2017 color forecast, the Color Currents, includes multiple hues that work in harmony with Greenery
Earlier this month Pantone unveiled its PANTONE® Color of the Year selection for 2017 PANTONE 15-0343 Greenery, “A fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals individuals to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.”
Erika Woelfel, VP Color & Creative Services at Behr Paint, said a lively yellow-green like Pantone’s Greenery can be matched to BEHR’s New Shoot T14-18 or Laser P350-6 — an option for shared or communal areas. “This hue is reminiscent of new growth in spring, so it can incite a feeling of rejuvenation and renewal. Woelfel noted that in a multifamily residence, this shade of green works well as an accent color in hallways, common areas and lobbies, “You could bring it to life through an accent wall, artwork or various plant life. These little touches would give residents a boost of energy as they come and go from their home and provide a sense of calming balance.”
For those off us working in an office space Woelfel said it is a great great choice for an accent wall or furniture in conference rooms or break areas, “The warmer side of the green family is known for promoting optimism and a sense of harmony, making it a perfect backdrop for group brainstorm sessions.”
