SSPC and NACE announce ad-hoc integration teams

SSPC and NACE announced July 24 the launch of thirteen ad-hoc teams which have been convened to begin the process of combining the associations. The teams were appointed by the SSPC-NACE Steering Committee and consist of members and staff from both organizations. Each team is focused on a different area of the associations’ operations and services.

American Concrete Institute transitions its convention to virtual event

Due to local, state, and federal regulations, and to protect the health and safety of attendees, the American Concrete Institute announces the transition of the ACI Concrete Convention from an in-person event in Raleigh, NC, USA, this October, to a 100% virtual event.  The ACI Virtual Concrete Convention will be held over similar dates at the end of October.  Attendees to the ACI Virtual Concrete Convention will collaborate on advancing concrete codes, specifications, and practices during hundreds of committee meetings.

ICP Building Solutions Group (ICP BSG) announces its Pli-Dek® Con-Dek System has been awarded a Miami-Dade NOA approval (NOA No. 17-1206.16) from the Miami-Dade Building Department. The Con-Dek System is a one-hour, Class “A” fire rated waterproof deck coating for concrete substrates that offers high durability and low maintenance for exterior use. The system is designed for high-traffic pedestrian balconies, roof decks, walkways and stairs where waterproofing and durability are essential.
