Ignaz Gorischek, vice president of store development for Neiman Marcus, has joined CalllisonRTKL’s Dallas office as vice president.
“Gorischek has a distinguished history of more than 20 years with the company, having opened new Neiman Marcus stores around the country, including the phenomenally successful stores in Coral Gables, Florida, San Antonio, Texas and Natick, Massachusetts,” CallisonRTKL said in announcing the appointment.
“CallisonRTKL has long been a trailblazer in retail design, and I am excited to join such a well-respected and innovative firm,” Gorischek said. “I look forward to collaborating across the company, especially at a time of vast change within the industry.”
At Neiman Marcus, Gorischek directed window displays, in-store visuals, special exhibits, and the upscale retailer’s vast artwork collections. Neiman-Marcus stores are known for high-end design and décor, including paintings, sculptures, wall finishes, marble floors, and other luxury appointments. The selection of artwork was driven by an objective of reflecting the “mood and attitude of product,” he was quoted as saying.
CallisonRTKL also announced the appointment of Leigh Dennis as senior vice president, leading the Retail Practice Group for the U.K. and Europe. He was formerly Global VP Brand Experience with Samsung. Doug Shaw, a CallisonRKTL director, was named to lead the Retail Practice Group for the Middle East, and Shirley Cheng, CallisonRKTL vice president, has relocated to Hong Kong to direct the firm’s expanding footprint in Asia.
