KTGY-Designed Anthem House Honored by Delta Associates

Anthem House is a 292-unit mixed-use multifamily rental community in Baltimore developed by War Horse Cities, The Bozzuto Group and Solstice Partners, and designed by KTGY Architecture + Planning. Located on a former industrial site at 900 E. Fort Avenue, facing the Baltimore Harbor in the historic Locust Point-Fort McHenry neighborhood, the building massing displays a Z-shaped plan maximizing the unit vistas and creating two distinct courtyards facing the city and the harbor. The base, middle and top articulate the massing, while two urban setbacks, corner and entrance court, engage with the streetscape.

IWBI and ASID Team Up to Promote Health and Wellness in the Design Community

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI)™announced at Greenbuild International Conference and Expo that they are teaming up to enhance WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP™) education for the design community. Beginning in February 2018, ASID members who have or receive IWBI’s WELL Faculty™ designation will lead WELL AP exam preparation courses throughout the United States. ASID members will receive discounted pricing as a way to increase the opportunity for those in the design community to obtain the WELL AP credential.

Dodge Momentum Index recovers in October

The Dodge Momentum Index rose in October, climbing 13.2% to 130.9 (2000=100) from the revised September reading of 115.6. The move higher in October nearly reversed the erosion of the past four months (including September’s 7.9% decline), with October posting healthy gains in both sectors.

BREEAM USA and Fitwel identify credits that will be recognized by both organizations

The Center for Active Design (CfAD) and BRE America announced a crosswalk between the Fitwel Certification System and the BREEAM USA In-Use standard, developing a straightforward and cost-efficient process for projects pursuing both certifications. Under the agreement, the organizations have mutually identified specific documented credits that will be recognized by both organizations, saving project teams the time and costs associated with developing certification documentation twice.
