Coldspring® Announces Gold Certification of Milbank Quarry

Following facility inspections by NSF International’s sustainability division, which develops standards and conducts audits to protect the environment, the Milbank operations received certification for all quarry operations at the location as well as the on-site processing facility. The Milbank operation produces Carnelian® and Prairie Brown varieties of granite. This material has been used on projects throughout the country with some of the notable projects including the FDR Memorial in Washington, D.C., Denver Union Station in Denver, CO, and the Banks (Smale Riverfront Park) in Cincinnati, OH, among many others.

Axalta Expands Industrial Wood Manufacturing Capability

Axalta has increased its manufacturing capability for its global industrial business by investing in the 56,000 square foot Northern Stacks complex in Fridley, Minnesota. Axalta will use the facility for research and development, focused application work for its Industrial Wood coatings business, and warehousing and coatings production across its focused business segments. The building will begin production scale-up next month.

LBC Boston Secures Financing for Quincy Center Project

LBC Boston, a diverse group of companies successfully developing complex projects, has secured financing for a new mixed-use development project that will revitalize Quincy Center and connect with other developments in the area. Dubbed Nova Residences of Quincy, the seven-story, 153,000 SF apartment building located in the 1500 block of Hancock Street will feature 15,000 SF of retail and restaurant space at street level and 171 units above.
