The J.D. Power 2018 Paint Satisfaction Study℠ study measures customer satisfaction in the interior and exterior paint and stain consumer market. In the interior paint, exterior paint and exterior stain segments, satisfaction is measured across six factors (in alphabetical order): application; durability; in-store color displays and printed materials; price; product offerings; and warranty/guarantee. In the paint retailer segment, satisfaction is measured across five factors (in alphabetical order): merchandise; price; sales and promotions; staff and service; and store facility. Satisfaction is measured on a 1,000-point scale.

Tech-Forward Rec Center to Serve New Masterplan in Dublin, California

The Rec Center is a high-performance facility. Generously sized windows, open floorplans and volume spaces allow for energy-saving “daylighting” throughout much of the complex. The three pavilions’ roofs are sloped for optimal efficiency and shade. All the roofs are photovoltaic-ready. And with three separate pavilions, individual spaces can be shut down into “sleep mode” when not in use.

Groundbreaking Ceremony Marks Start of Construction on $1 Billion Alameda Mixed-Use Waterfront Development on Former Naval Air Station

The City of Alameda and its private partner, Alameda Point Partners, LLC, today celebrated the groundbreaking of the first phase of the $1 billion mixed-use, transit-oriented waterfront development at the gateway to Alameda Point, called Site A. The 68-acre Site A development is located on the site of the former Naval Air Station Alameda, which closed over 20 years ago. Alameda Point Partners (APP) is a joint venture led by Managing Partner Trammell Crow Residential (TCR), a division of Dallas-based Crow Holdings, and also includes commercial developer srmERNST Development Partners, affordable non-profit housing developer Eden Housing, retail landlord Madison Marquette, and financial partner Cypress Equity Investments.

Orlando International Airport’s South Intermodal Terminal Facility topped with Acurlite skylight, finished by Linetec

The ITF is expected to be the first building on the Orlando International Airport campus to meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® v4 certification standards. Featuring an 8,000-square-foot, heavy-duty commercial skylight, the ITF’s daylighting system helps connect those arriving and working within the space to the welcoming surroundings and Florida sunshine outside. Acurlite Structural Skylights, Inc. manufactured and installed the low-rise, segmented barrel vault skylight. Linetec provided stretch forming, thermally improvement and finishing of the skylight to meet the airport’s aesthetic, sustainability and high-performance requirements.
