Architects Foundation now accepting applications for scholarship programs

The Architects Foundation, the philanthropic partner of The American Institute of Architects (AIA), is now accepting applications for five scholarships supporting students pursuing architecture degrees. The Payette Sho-Ping Chin Memorial Academic Scholarship is a $10,000 award toward tuition and fees supporting a woman studying architecture within a NAAB-accredited bachelor or master’s degree program. The awardee will also receive a senior mentor from Payette for the scholarship year.

Perkins+Will wins first-ever Austin Chapter of AIA Award of Excellence

Perkins+Will’s Austin-based studio derived inspiration for TENTSION from its temporary spot on Waller Creek, a location known to be a place of refuge for many of the city’s homeless citizens. Made up of over 100 camping tents bound together to create grouped forms, TENTSION was designed to ultimately be deconstructed and donated to local organizations that serve those in need, such as Integral Care, Trinity Center, and Path.
