Wheeler Kearns Architects break ground on the Great Lakes Academy expansion in Chicago

Wheeler Kearns Architects has commenced construction on its 130,000 square foot expansion of Great Lakes Academy, a K-8 charter school in South Chicago, which will more than double the size of the school.
The ambitious project entails connecting its current location — a three-story brick masonry building built in 1911 — to the neighboring one — a former Catholic Church built in 1952 — through a one-story glass link.

Stantec-designed Adela at MiMo Bay residential building is complete

Stantec announces the completion of the new five-story Adela at MiMo Bay apartments located next to Legion Memorial Park in Miami’s Upper Eastside. The project features 236 residential units, pool deck with panoramic views of Biscayne Bay, a 370-space parking garage, and a new 15,000 square-foot American Legion Post 29 facility. Stantec provided architecture, structural engineering, MEP engineering, and interior design services for the project.
